Diversified Health & Fitness, Inc., chaired by fitness industry pioneer Roger Wittenberns announced today that it has acquired Access Fitness, LLC.
After the acquisition, Diversified’s franchise portfolio will consist of approximately 150 clubs in thirty states and two countries with over 500 active licenses to build new clubs. Diversified currently operates offices in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Florianopolis, Brazil.
Diversified acquired the assets of Access in a part cash, part stock deal. The assets purchased included the contractual rights and franchisor obligations to six coed fitness and health clubs located primarily in the Midwest and Southeast.
Benjamin Gettler, President of Diversified, said “this is a nice little chain with huge potential. It has a great name and a twenty-four hour concept that fits in well with our current family-fitness health club model.”
Diversified Health and Fitness, Inc. is a franchise holding company for multiple fitness franchise concepts. The company was founded in 2007 and is the brainchild of thirty-five year industry expert Roger Wittenberns. Diversified currently operates offices in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl and Florianopolis, Brazil.
